3.102

然則有餘可以有稱，無餘可以無名。無名立，則宗虛者欣尚於冲默；有稱生，則懷德者彌仰於聖功。斯乃典誥之所垂文、先聖之所軌轍。

"Thus, [nirvāṇa] with remainder may have designations, while [nirvāṇa] without remainder may be nameless. When 'nameless' is established, those who take the Void as essential rejoice in and esteem the vacuous and silent; when 'having designations' arises, those who cherish virtue look up all the more to holy achievements. These are what the scriptural texts handed down in writing, and the tracks trodden by past sages."
