而惑者居見聞之境、尋殊應之跡，秉執規矩以擬大方，欲以智勞至人、形患大聖，謂捨有入無，因以名之，豈可謂采微言於聽表、拔玄根於虛壤者哉？

"Yet those who are deluded abide in the realm of sight and hearing, and trace the traces of diverse responses. Grasping compass and square to measure the great realm, they wish to trouble the perfected person with wisdom, and burden the great sage with form. Claiming that he abandons existence to enter non-existence, they name him accordingly. How could they be said to gather subtle words beyond what is heard, or uproot the profound root in the barren soil?"
