亦義引《法華》前後之文。《正法華．善權品》云：「是一乘道，寂然之地，無有二上」等。《妙法．化城品》云：「佛為求道者中路懈廢、意止息故，以方便力，於一乘道分別說三。」懈廢亦怠慢也。火宅可知。

This also paraphrases earlier and later passages of the Lotus Sūtra. The Zheng fahua jing, "Upāyakauśalya" chapter, says: "This One Vehicle Way, the tranquil realm, has no dual supreme," etc. The Miaofa lianhua jing, "Parable of the Conjured City" chapter, says: "Because those who seek the Way become indolent and weary mid-way, and wish to rest, the Buddha, by the power of expedients, distinguishes and speaks of three regarding the One Vehicle Way." Indolence and weariness are also remissness. The burning house can be understood.
