且談論之作，必先定其本。既論涅槃，不可離涅槃而語涅槃。若即（就）涅槃以興言，誰獨非涅槃，而欲得之耶？

"Furthermore, in composing discussions, one must first determine their basis. Having taken nirvāṇa as the subject of discussion, one cannot discuss nirvāṇa apart from nirvāṇa. If one speaks with immediate reference to nirvāṇa, who alone is not nirvāṇa, that they would desire to attain it?"
