經曰：「涅槃非眾生，亦不異眾生。」維摩詰言：「若彌勒得滅度者，一切眾生亦當滅度。所以者何？一切眾生本性常滅，不復更滅。」
"A scripture says: 'Nirvāṇa is not sentient beings, nor is it different from sentient beings.' Vimalakīrti said: 'If Maitreya attains extinction, all sentient beings should also attain extinction. Why? All sentient beings are in their fundamental nature constantly extinct, and do not further undergo extinction.'"
