Why so? If we seek it in the realm of existence, the five aggregates are forever extinguished; if we trace it to the realm of non-existence, the subtle spirit is inexhaustible. If the subtle spirit is inexhaustible, it embraces the One with pristine stillness; if the five aggregates are forever extinguished, the myriad entanglements are completely cast away. Because the myriad entanglements are completely cast away, it is in unison with the Way; because it embraces the One with pristine stillness, it is spiritual and without exertion. Because it is spiritual and without exertion, its supreme exertion endures forever; because it is in unison with the Way, it is profound and unchanging. Because it is profound and unchanging, it cannot be considered existent; because its supreme exertion endures forever, it cannot be considered non-existent.
