1.44

復有四事：一者見諸眾生為癡愛所惑受大劇苦。二見諸眾生不信因果造作惡業。三見諸眾生捨離正法信受邪法。四見諸眾生沒煩惱河，四流所漂眾苦所纏。

Furthermore, there are four matters: First, seeing all sentient beings deluded by ignorance and craving, undergoing severe suffering. Second, seeing all sentient beings disbelieving in cause and effect, creating evil karma. Third, seeing all sentient beings abandoning the true Dharma, believing in and accepting false teachings. Fourth, seeing all sentient beings submerged in the river of afflictions, swept away by the four currents, and bound by manifold sufferings.
