1.45

復有四事：一見諸眾生畏生老病死，不求解脫，而復造業。二見諸眾生憂悲苦惱而常造作，無有休息。三見諸眾生愛別離苦而不覺悟，方便染著。四者見諸眾生怨憎會苦，常起嫌嫉，更復造惡，集不善業。

Furthermore, there are four matters: First, seeing all sentient beings fearing birth, aging, illness, and death, not seeking liberation, and yet creating karma anew. Second, seeing all sentient beings experiencing grief, sorrow, pain, and distress, yet constantly creating [karma] without rest. Third, seeing all sentient beings enduring the suffering of separation from loved ones yet failing to awaken, employing means with clinging attachment. Fourth, seeing all sentient beings enduring the suffering of encountering those whom they hate, constantly giving rise to resentment and jealousy, creating evil further still, and accumulating unwholesome karma.
