2.10

如佛說，不與取者有十罪。何等為十？一者物生當嗔；二者重疑；三者非時行不籌度；四者朋黨惡人，遠離賢善；五者破善相；六者得罪於官；七者財物沒入；八者種貧窮業；九者死入地獄；十者若出為人勤苦求財，五家苦共。

As the Buddha taught, taking what is not given has ten sins. What are the ten? First, the owner will become enraged. Second, grave suspicion [falls upon one]. Third, moving about at improper times without deliberation. Fourth, associating with evil persons and staying far away from the worthy and good. Fifth, destroying the marks of goodness. Sixth, incurring guilt and punishment from the authorities. Seventh, having one's property and wealth confiscated. Eighth, planting the karma of poverty. Ninth, upon death entering hell. Tenth, if one emerges as a human being, one seeks wealth through toil and hardship, only for it to be bitterly shared by the five families.
