次正說相云：「佛子！從今身至佛身，於其中間常行檀波羅蜜，悉令具足，不得懈怠有所犯，若犯非菩薩。能持不？（教答）能持（准前隨從稱名，應云某甲能持）。尸羅波羅蜜、羼提波羅蜜、毘梨耶波羅蜜、禪波羅蜜、般若波羅蜜（准檀說之）。」

Next, [the master] directly explains the characteristics [of the precepts], saying: "Sons of the Buddha! From your present body until the Buddha-body, you must constantly practice the dānapāramitā in between, causing it to be completely fulfilled; you must not be indolent or commit infractions; if you commit an infraction, you are not a bodhisattva. Can you uphold this?" (Instructing them to answer:) "I can uphold it." (Following the previous method of reciting one's name, one should say, "So-and-so can uphold it.") "Śīlapāramitā, kṣāntipāramitā, vīryapāramitā, dhyānapāramitā, and prajñāpāramitā" (these should be recited following the pattern of dāna).
