「應知，菩薩有五種法，修行十善業道，能過世間：一者願，菩薩從初發心乃至道場，常為一切世間天人而作福田，勝諸二乘故。二者安穩，菩薩修行雖為世間極苦所迫，不捨菩提，專心修行故。三深心，以最勝心修行故，以諸菩薩最深愛心修行十善故。四善清淨，以菩薩有三種清淨，行十善道故。五方便者，菩薩於何等法中，以何等方便，修行十善故。

"It should be known that bodhisattvas possess five kinds of dharmas when practicing the courses of ten wholesome actions that enable them to surpass the world: first is vow, for from their initial arousal of the mind up to the bodhimaṇḍa, bodhisattvas constantly serve as a field of merit for all worldly gods and humans, thereby surpassing the two vehicles; second is peace and security, for even though the bodhisattva's practice is oppressed by extreme worldly suffering, they do not abandon bodhi, practicing with a dedicated mind; third is the deep mind, because they practice with the most supreme mind, practicing the ten wholesome deeds with the bodhisattvas' deepest loving mind; fourth is wholesome purity, because the bodhisattva practices the path of the ten wholesome deeds with three kinds of purity; fifth is skillful means, because of the dharmas through which, and the skillful means with which, the bodhisattva practices the ten wholesome deeds.
