遂求慧有八：一、依法異門智，謂法無礙慧；二、依法相智；三、依法釋詞智；四、依法品類句差別智，即三無礙解；五、菩薩一切摧伏他論慧；六、菩薩一切成立自論慧；七、菩薩一切正訓營為宗屬家產慧；八、菩薩一切善解種種王正世務慧。

Prajñā that accomplishes what is sought has eight types: 1. knowledge based on the various expressions of the Dharma, meaning the unimpeded prajñā regarding dharmas; 2. knowledge based on the characteristics of the Dharma; 3. knowledge based on the etymologies of the Dharma; 4. knowledge based on the distinctions among the categories and phrases of the Dharma—namely, the three [other] unimpeded understandings; 5. the bodhisattva's prajñā that subdues all opposing doctrines; 6. the bodhisattva's prajñā that establishes all of one's own doctrines; 7. the bodhisattva's prajñā that properly instructs in managing kin and family property; and 8. the bodhisattva's prajñā that thoroughly understands the various righteous worldly affairs of governance.
