「弟子某甲等，願從今身，盡未來際，歸依佛，兩足尊；歸依法，離欲尊；歸依僧，眾中尊。（如是三唱）。」

"I, disciple so-and-so, and others, vow that from this present body until the end of the future, we take refuge in the Buddha, the most honored among two-footed beings; we take refuge in the Dharma, the most honored among those free from desire; we take refuge in the Saṅgha, the most honored among assemblies." (Chanted three times in this manner).
