華嚴一乘教義分齊章 1.19

1.19

此上十證，足為龜鏡，其別教一乘所明行位因果等相，與彼三乘教施設分齊全別不同，廣在經文，略如下辨。縱無教證，依彼義異，尚須分宗，況聖教雲披，煥然溢目矣。

These ten proofs above are sufficient to serve as a mirror. The characteristics of practices, stages, causes, and fruits clarified by the distinct teaching One Vehicle are completely distinct and different from the boundaries established in the teachings of those Three Vehicles; they are found extensively in the sūtra texts, and are briefly distinguished below. Even without textual proofs from the teachings, based on those differences in meaning it would still be necessary to distinguish schools, not to mention that the holy teachings open up like clouds, dazzling and overflowing before the eyes.
