七者位異，謂此一乘所有位相上下皆齊，仍一一位中攝一切位，是故乃至佛等諸位在信等位中，餘位亦然。三乘中則不爾，但隨當位上下階降，皆不相雜也。餘如下說。

The seventh is distinction in stages: namely, all the characteristics of stages in this One Vehicle are mutually equal from top to bottom, yet every single stage subsumes all stages; therefore, even the stages of buddhas and so on are within the stage of faith and the others, and the other stages are likewise. In the Three Vehicles it is not like this; merely following the hierarchical ascent and descent of each stage, they are not intermingled. The rest is as explained below.
