Regarding the ten practices: first, faith; second, compassion; third, loving-kindness; fourth, equanimity; fifth, untiring vigor; sixth, knowing the sūtras and treatises and skillfully understanding worldly conventions; seventh, shame and conscience; eighth, firm strength; ninth, making offerings to the Buddhas; tenth, practicing according to what has been spoken. This meaning resides in the Ekayāna, while its seeing and hearing are found in the Triyāna as well as among śrāvakas, humans, devas, and so forth. The previous thirty phrases of faith and so on are the dharmas that purify the ground; these present ten phrases of faith and so on are the dharmas that manifest the purity of the ground. The remaining meanings are as in the separate chapter.
