Regarding wrong views, there are seven kinds: 1. Wrong view of a different vehicle: following the right path while separately grasping nirvāṇa without remainder, namely the śrāvakas ignorant of dharmas. 2. View of false discrimination. 3. View of taking precepts as purity: namely, various divinations of auspiciousness and inauspiciousness, false views, views of evil precepts, and so forth. This is the view of taking precepts as purity; 'view of evil precepts' refers to personally seizing what is viewed. 4. Presuming oneself to have right view: taking one's own false view to be correct view, namely the views of mental afflictions and so forth. 5. View of concealment; 6. View of hypocritically displaying what is untrue: concealment means taking the hiding of what is inside as correct; hypocritically displaying what is untrue means taking the manifestation of external marks as correct. 7. View of non-purity: taking the worldly to be nirvāṇa and so forth. None of these views is permitted by the Buddha's view; taking them as correct is why they are called wrong views. These meanings are partially present in the three vehicles and Hīnayāna; designated by that Ekayāna, they belong to the Ekayāna. Other points are as in the separate chapter.
