Next, to clarify the principles revealed: skillful eloquence is sovereign, and the dynamics of transformation are diverse; ten examples are also brought forward to reveal non-obstruction: 1. the non-obstruction of nature and marks; 2. the non-obstruction of breadth and narrowness; 3. the non-obstruction of the one and the many; 4. the non-obstruction of mutual interpenetration; 5. the non-obstruction of mutual identity; 6. the non-obstruction of the concealed and the manifest; 7. the non-obstruction of the subtle; 8. the non-obstruction of Indra's net; 9. the non-obstruction of the ten periods; 10. the non-obstruction of host and companion. Within each of the ten pairs of phenomena previously expounded, there are each of these ten [aspects of] non-obstruction; therefore, there are hundreds of gates, thousands of gates, and so forth, as can be deduced accordingly. Now, we shall briefly distinguish these ten examples with respect to phenomenal matters; the remaining phenomena may be known accordingly, fully as found in the sūtra.
