Tenth, "unshared phenomena": ordinary beings and the two vehicles see the dust mote as having characteristics and having an essence; they only see a single dust mote, without sovereign functional operations. Now, it is not so, not the same as theirs. Here one must penetrate the dust mote's absence of essence, realize it so as to accomplish buddha-lands, and cultivate and arouse wisdom relying on the dust mote, adorning the dharmakāya. Thus, the small constantly contains the vast worlds, and a single dust mote can constantly contain all universally; this is an unshared phenomenon.
