Ninth, converging the three vehicles: seeing that the marks of the dust mote are empty and non-existent, yet dharmas are real—relying on this view constitutes the Small Vehicle. Awakening to the dust mote being arisen from conditions and calming conditioning thoughts—relying on this view constitutes the Middle Vehicle. Fully comprehending that the dust mote lacks intrinsic nature, is anutpāda, and is empty, tranquil, and of one taste—relying on this constitutes the Great Vehicle. Now, the Dharma is one, yet practitioners divide into three. It is not that because the practitioners are three, the Dharma also becomes three; nor is it that because the Dharma is one, the practitioners also become one. It is merely that people themselves form three vehicles, while the Dharma is not three. One should know that the one is the three vehicles, as that which is learned converges into one; the three are the one vehicle, as the capacities responded to are threefold.
