七、定權實者，謂塵事是權，空寂是實。然實非實，以理不礙事故；權亦非權，以事體即空故。若作權解、實解，此非善解。若知權實俱不可得，寄言以明法體，是名善解也。

Seventh, determining provisional and real: phenomenal matters of the dust mote are provisional; emptiness and tranquility are real. Yet the real is not real, because principle does not obstruct phenomena; the provisional is also not provisional, because the essence of phenomena is empty. If one forms an understanding of provisional or an understanding of real, this is not a skilled understanding. If one knows that both provisional and real cannot be apprehended, and merely uses words to illuminate the essence of dharmas, this is called skilled understanding.
