1.17

然上諸義，緣生既立，理不合孤，窮萬有以為同，括無盡而成總。若尋其奧，雖處狹而常寬；欲究其淵，縱居深而逾淺。緣起之義其大矣哉！

Now, regarding the above meanings, once conditional arising is established, principle must not stand alone; exhausting the myriad existents to form identity, encompassing the inexhaustible to achieve universality. If one seeks its depths, though dwelling in narrowness it is ever broad; if one wishes to fathom its abyss, even if abiding in profundity it is ever accessible. Great indeed is the meaning of pratītyasamutpāda!
