Seventh, arousing bodhi: This dust mote is quiescent, extinguished, nirvāṇa, and absent of intrinsic nature, which is manifested by the wisdom of the Buddha's bodhi. Now, it is through fully comprehending that all sentient beings, as well as dust motes, hair tips, and the like, possess the principle of absence of intrinsic nature that the Buddha's bodhi wisdom is accomplished. For this reason, within the Buddha's bodhi body, one sees all sentient beings achieving right awakening and turning the wheel of the Dharma. Moreover, because sentient beings, as well as dust motes and hair tips, entirely accomplish sentient beings through the principle of the Buddha's bodhi, within the bodhi bodies of sentient beings one sees the Buddha generating the bodhi mind and cultivating bodhisattva practices. One should know that there is no other different view of the Buddha's bodhi. Now the Buddha teaches and transforms sentient beings within a dust mote, and sentient beings again receive the Buddha's teaching and transformation within a dust mote; therefore the Buddha is the Buddha of sentient beings, and sentient beings are the sentient beings of the Buddha. Even if there are expansion and contraction, there is ultimately no difference. One who sees like this is said to arouse the bodhi mind, give rise to the great compassion of identical essence, and teach and transform sentient beings.
