Fourth is the contemplation of the wisdom-body reflecting like a shadow in manifold conditions. This means that the essence of wisdom is singular and capable of reflecting manifold conditions; the marks of conditions are fundamentally empty, and the essence of wisdom illuminates quiescence; when the marks of conditions are exhausted, Suchness alone persists. This means that among conditioned phenomena, there are none that do not contain the true nature, just like the solar disc shining upon the distant reaches of empty space: those with eyes all see it, and even the congenitally blind receive its nourishing benefit. It makes known the seasons and periods of cold and heat, and insentient grass and trees all grow; the Tathāgata's sun of wisdom is also like this. Therefore it is called the contemplation of the wisdom-body reflecting like a shadow in manifold conditions.
