第四理事雙絕門者，由事、理雙觀互相形奪故，遂使而雙俱盡，非理非事，寂然雙絕，是故令止觀雙泯，逈然無寄也。

The fourth is the gate of the dual cessation of principle and phenomena: because the dual contemplation of phenomena and principle mutually shapes and annuls each other, both are completely exhausted—neither principle nor phenomena, serenely and mutually ceased; therefore, śamatha and vipaśyanā both cease, soaring free without reliance.
