觀曰：三、依理成事門，謂事無別體，要因真理而得成立，以諸緣起皆無自性故，由無性理事方成故。如波攬水以成動，水望於波能成立故。依如來藏得有諸法，當知亦爾。思之。

The Contemplation states: 3. The gate of phenomena being established based on principle: this means that phenomena have no separate essence; they must rely on true principle to be established, because all pratītyasamutpāda lacks self-nature, and because it is through the principle of naturelessness that phenomena are formed. Just as a wave takes up water to form movement, water in relation to the wave is able to establish it. That all phenomena come to exist based on the tathāgatagarbha should be known to be also like this. Contemplate this.
