觀曰：問：「無邊理性全遍一塵時，外諸事處為有理性？為無理性？若塵外有理，則非全體遍一塵；若塵外無理，則非全體遍一切事。義甚相違。」

The Contemplation states: Question: “When the boundless nature of principle completely pervades a single dust particle, is there the nature of principle at the locus of other external phenomena, or is there no nature of principle? If there is principle outside the dust particle, then its entire essence does not pervade the single dust particle; if there is no principle outside the dust particle, then its entire essence does not pervade all phenomena. The meanings are exceedingly contradictory.”
