大記云：一微塵者，佛剎塵數劫中勤修所鍊故，方能含受十方世界無礙自在。此是事法最細之初位。真定德云：事融現理門者，約塵含十方之道理云耳，非謂一塵泯融同理也。

The Great Record says: A single dust mote, because it has been diligently cultivated and refined throughout kalpas as numerous as dust motes of Buddha realms, is only then able to contain and receive the worlds of the ten directions unhinderedly and at ease. This is the initial stage of the finest phenomenal phenomena. The Worthy Zhending says: The gateway of phenomena interfusing and manifesting principle is stated in terms of the principle of a dust mote containing the ten directions; it does not mean that a single dust mote is obliterated and merged into sameness with principle.
