真記云：一微塵中含十方者，攝十方界成一塵故云含十方耶？攬十方界成一塵已新新更含十方耶？答：二義俱得。問：成一塵時攝十方盡更無有餘，何得新新含耶？答：是須處須故，成一塵時須十方盡，須新新含時亦不礙後後起也。

Zhen's Record says: Regarding "containing the ten directions within a single dust mote," is it called containing the ten directions because it subsumes the realms of the ten directions to form a single dust mote? Or, having gathered the realms of the ten directions to form a single dust mote, does it freshly and further contain the ten directions? Answer: Both meanings are admissible. Question: When forming a single dust mote, the ten directions are exhaustively subsumed with none remaining; how could it freshly contain them? Answer: It is because it is needed where needed: when forming a single dust mote, it needs the ten directions to be exhausted; when it needs to freshly contain them, it also does not hinder subsequent arisings.
