法記云:無分別者者,問:各各不相即等四句合取云耶?答:爾也。謂前三句即門故、是體門也。不相即句是中門故,位不動門也。位不動故方得相入,能成一致,是故合取。不相即義,云冥然無分別也。
Fa's Record says: Regarding "those that are non-conceptual": Question: Are the four phrases such as "each not mutually identical" taken together? Answer: Yes. This is because the preceding three phrases are the approach of identity, hence they are the approach of substance. The phrase "not mutually identical" is the approach of the middle, hence it is the approach of the stages not shifting. Because the stages do not shift, they are able to enter into one another and form a single unity; therefore they are taken together. The meaning of not being mutually identical is said to be unfathomably non-conceptual.
