已前諸事，八種不同，《十誦》約體而斷，故有分不分別。今畜積之物，同異者多，不必如律，可比其大小像貌，商度輕重二儀（如鉢支入輕，鉢床應重，熏鉢鉤入輕，熏鉢籠入重，如此類例，隨務深思也）。

In the preceding matters, there are eight distinct categories. The Sarvāstivāda judges them based on their substance; thus there is a distinction between what may and may not be distributed. Nowadays, accumulated items have many similarities and differences, not necessarily conforming to the Vinaya. One can compare their size and appearance, deliberating the two regulations of light and heavy property. (For example, bowl-props are classified as light property, while bowl-stands should be heavy; bowl-fumigation hooks are classified as light property, while bowl-fumigation baskets are classified as heavy property. Similar cases like these should be deeply considered according to the practical matter at hand.)
