1.91

已前二件，雖良賤乃分，而繫不繫別。前條施力，有二種人，若能給盡形，隨僧處分；若所給盡形，前僧既終後情自改，任意去留。若他遣供給，還送本主。若本是自已有倩俗蔭覆者，依本入僧。若暫來非永，隨時將送。

Regarding the above two items, although they are divided by free or base status, they differ in whether they are bound or unbound. In the former item of donating labor, there are two kinds of persons: if the donor provides them for life, they follow the saṅgha's disposition; if provided for life to a specific monk, once that former monk dies and the attendant's feelings change, they are free to leave or stay as they wish. If another person dispatched them for service, they are sent back to their original master. If they were originally one's own dependents but placed under secular patron protection, they are surrendered to the saṅgha according to the original status. If they came temporarily and not permanently, they are escorted back at the appropriate time.
