2.73

右準如《五分律》斷，錦綺是不可分物，若純色者應分，由相類同於法衣故也。無問大小多少，俱在輕中，其例朝霞斑布㲩𣰆之類。並入重也。

According to the determination of the Mahīśāsaka vinaya above, brocades and patterned silks are indivisible property; if they are of a single pure color, they should be divided, because their appearance is similar to that of Dharma robes. Regardless of size or quantity, they are all included under light property. Such examples as morning-cloud pattern, variegated cloth, and fine woolen rugs are all classified as heavy property.
