濟時護法二（謂季俗根鈍，非敬不弘，故濟時機，綜習惟遠。遂使相從奔競，上下相遵，既不亂倫，三寶由盛。）

2. Rescuing the Times and Protecting the Dharma (Meaning that the faculties of people in this decadent age are dull, and without reverence [the Dharma] cannot be propagated; hence to rescue the capacities of the times, comprehensive training must be far-reaching. This causes them to vie in following along, superiors and inferiors respecting one another, so that with social relations unconfused, the Three Jewels will thereby flourish.)
