2.87

《涅槃》云：「若為恐怖故，利養及福德，書是經一偈，則生不動國。若為希福利，一日讀誦經，或自身財寶，施於說法者。若能聽書寫，受持及讀誦，諸佛之祕藏，則生不動國。」

The Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra states: 'If out of fear, or for gain and merit, / one writes down a single verse of this sūtra, / one will be born in the Land of the Immovable. / If, wishing for blessings and benefit, / one chants and recites the sūtra for a day, / or offers one's own body and wealth / to the Dharma preacher; / if one can listen, copy, / uphold, and recite / the secret treasury of all Buddhas, / one will be born in the Land of the Immovable.'
