次北一院，名曰果園，或曰佛經行地。門向南開，波斯匿王之所造也。山池極多，各施異狀，渠流文轉，繚遶泉林，清淨香氣，充滿斯地。佛多經行遊歷於此。

Next to the north is a courtyard called the Orchard, or the Buddha's Promenade Ground. Its gate opens to the south; it was built by King Prasenajit. Mountain pools are numerous, each displaying a distinctive form; winding canals meander and wrap around springs and groves; pure fragrance fills this place. The Buddha often paced in promenade and strolled here.
