Next, west of the Courtyard of the Bodhisattva Four Truths, there is another courtyard called the Courtyard of the Pratyekabuddha Twelvefold Dependent Origination. It faces the Courtyard of the Bodhisattva Four Truths to the east. Its halls and trees are identical, and its gate faces the northern lane. Inside is a golden bell, shaped like three ox horns with their smaller ends joined together; above, it has the form of a Kunlun youth serving as the golden bell's loop. When the time arrives, a gentle breeze stirs it, and its sound is heard for eight li. This was made by the Devarāja Vaiśravaṇa during the time of Kāśyapa Buddha. Every eighth day of the fourth month, the bell is able to recite Kāśyapa Buddha's Nirvāṇa Sūtra, and the fourfold assembly all listen.
