初、加法者。必從次第，先加五條（準《十誦》文）：「大德一心念！我比丘某甲，此安陀會，五條衣受，一長一短，割截衣持。（三說。揲葉、襵葉隨改。）」中衣則云：「此欝多羅，七條衣受，兩長一短，割截衣持。」大衣則云：「此僧伽梨，二十五條衣受，四長一短，割截衣持。」餘詞同上。

First, the ritual of consecration. One must follow the proper sequence, consecrating the five-strip robe first (according to the text of the Sarvāstivāda-vinaya): "Venerable One, with focused mind, be mindful! I, the bhikṣu so-and-so, receive this antarvāsaka, a five-strip robe, one long and one short, to maintain as a cut-and-pieced robe. (Spoken three times. Modify appropriately for patch-leaves or folded leaves.)" For the middle robe, one says: "...receive this uttarāsaṅga, a seven-strip robe, two long and one short, to maintain as a cut-and-pieced robe." For the great robe, one says: "...receive this saṅghāṭī, a twenty-five-strip robe, four long and one short, to maintain as a cut-and-pieced robe." The rest of the words are the same as above.
