1.38

We, [so-and-so] and others, once again with utmost sincerity prostrate with our five limbs touching the ground. Furthermore, since beginningless time down to the present day, our minds have been inverted, our perceptions inverted, and our views inverted; we have departed from kalyāṇamitras and drawn near to evil friends, turned away from the eightfold noble path and practiced the eight wrong paths, preached non-Dharma as Dharma and Dharma as non-Dharma, spoken of the unwholesome as wholesome and of the wholesome as unwholesome, raised the banner of arrogance, unfurled the sail of delusion, followed the current of ignorance, and entered the ocean of birth and death. Sins and evils such as these are limitless and boundless; today we repent, praying to eradicate and extinguish them.
