"Giving rise to the aspiration by contemplating the Buddha's physical marks": if one sees the Tathāgata's physical body born of parents, its bodily marks clear and prominent, distinct and well-proportioned, brilliant and dazzling, which cannot be fashioned by Viśvakarman, surpassing the intertwined marks of a wheel-turning sage king, rare in the world—in the heavens above and earth below there is none like the Buddha, and in the worlds of the ten directions none compares. "May I attain Buddhahood, equal to the noble Dharma King; may I deliver sentient beings, boundless and countless." This is "giving rise to the bodhicitta to seek above and transform below by seeing the physical marks of the responsive Buddha."
