1.101

若見如來，知如來無如來；若見相好，知相好非相好。如來及相皆如虛空，空中無佛，況復相好？見如來非如來，即見如來；見相非相，即見諸相。願我得佛齊聖法王，我度眾生無數無央。是為見勝應相好，上求下化，發菩提心。

If one sees the Tathāgata and knows that in the Tathāgata there is no Tathāgata; if one sees the physical marks and knows that the physical marks are not physical marks—the Tathāgata and the marks are both like empty space; within space there is no Buddha, how much less physical marks? Seeing the Tathāgata as no Tathāgata is truly seeing the Tathāgata; seeing marks as no marks is truly seeing all marks. "May I attain Buddhahood, equal to the noble Dharma King; may I deliver sentient beings, boundless and countless." This is giving rise to the bodhicitta to seek above and transform below by seeing the superior responsive marks.
