此菩提心有大勢力，如師子筋弦，如師子乳，如金剛槌，如那羅延箭；具足眾寶，能除貧苦如如意珠。雖小懈怠，小失威儀，猶勝二乘功德。舉要言之，此心即具一切菩薩功德，能成三世無上正覺。若解此心，任運達於止觀。無發無礙即是觀，其性寂滅即是止。止觀即菩提，菩提即止觀。

this aspiration for bodhi possesses great power, like the lion's sinew bowstring, like the lion's milk, like the vajra mallet, like the arrow of Nārāyaṇa; it is replete with all jewels, able to eliminate poverty and suffering like a wish-fulfilling jewel. Though there may be slight laxity and slight lapses in deportment, it still surpasses the merits of the two vehicles. To state the essential: this mind is itself replete with all the merits of a bodhisattva, able to accomplish the unsurpassed correct awakening of the three periods. If one understands this mind, one naturally reaches calming and contemplation. Being without arousal and without hindrance is contemplation; its nature being quiescent is calming. Calming and contemplation are bodhi; bodhi is calming and contemplation.
