‘Identity in resemblance being bodhi’ means: because the more one contemplates the clearer it becomes, and the more one calms the more quiescent it becomes, like diligently shooting close to the target, it is named ‘resemblance contemplative wisdom’. All worldly livelihoods and enterprises do not run contrary to it; whatever one thinks and considers has already been spoken in the sūtras of former Buddhas, as described in the purification of the six sense faculties. Perfectly subduing avidyā is named ‘calming’; wisdom resembling the middle way is named ‘contemplation’ (and so forth).
