又歷十二事中，為何處生無記？為誰故生無記？誰是無記者？如此觀時，同虛空相。又無記一法生十法界及一切法。又無記即法性，法性常寂即止義；寂而常照即觀義。於無記非道通達佛道，無記為法界，橫攝諸法，竪攝六位，高廣具足，例如上說。

Furthermore, surveying the twelve matters: in what place does the indeterminate arise? For whose sake does the indeterminate arise? Who is the indeterminate one? When contemplating in this way, it has the same mark as empty space. Furthermore, the single dharma of the indeterminate gives rise to the ten dharmadhātus and all dharmas. Furthermore, the indeterminate is itself dharmatā; the constant calmness of dharmatā is the meaning of calming; being calm yet constantly illuminating is the meaning of contemplation. Penetrating the Buddha-way through the non-way of the indeterminate, the indeterminate serves as the dharmadhātu, horizontally encompassing all dharmas and vertically encompassing the six stages, complete in height and breadth, following the pattern as explained above.
