3.169

乃至九種大禪、百八三昧，皆屬止攝。十八空、十喻、五百陀羅尼，皆觀攝。如是等一切慧行、行行，無不為止觀所攝。當知止觀名略，攝義則廣。

Up to the nine great dhyānas and the one hundred and eight samādhis, all pertain to what is encompassed by calming. The eighteen emptinesses, the ten similes, and the five hundred dhāraṇīs are all encompassed by contemplation. All such wisdom-practices and conduct-practices are without exception encompassed by calming and contemplation. One should know that while the name 'calming and contemplation' is brief, what it encompasses is broad.
