頭陀處者，即是出假之觀。此觀與空相隣，如蘭若與聚落並。出假之觀，安心俗諦，分別藥病，抖擻無知，淨道種智。此次處也。

The dhūta place is the contemplation of emerging into the provisional. This contemplation is adjacent to emptiness, just as an araṇya is adjacent to a village. The contemplation of emerging into the provisional settles the mind in the conventional truth, distinguishes medicines and diseases, shakes off ignorance, and purifies the knowledge of the aspects of the Path. This is the intermediate place.
