觀心生活者，愛是養業之法，如水潤種。因愛有憂，因憂有畏。若能斷愛，名「息生活緣務」也。

Regarding livelihood in terms of contemplating the mind: craving is the dharma that nourishes karma, like water moistening seeds. Due to craving there is sorrow; due to sorrow there is fear. If one can sever craving, this is called 'ceasing the busy engagement of livelihood.'
