Dharmatā also possesses the three meanings: the objective realm is what is taken as teacher, and its dark perfuming and secret benefit is the external protector. The correspondence between the objective realm and wisdom is the fellow practitioner. When one has not yet seen the principle, one is like the blind; when the Dharma of the truths becomes manifest, one is like having eyes, and the functioning of wisdom is without distortion. A sūtra says: "Those who cultivate my Dharma know it for themselves through realization; if the mind has no actual practice, what use is asking?" This is the teacher.
