One must know that the mind of views is exceedingly terrifying! Why is that? If one asserts that the four major transgressions and their offenders are both empty, and that the five heinous sins are also empty, why not commit the heinous sins? Since the view of emptiness is so strong, there are also neither father nor mother. Whether in illicit intercourse or in murder, neither presents any obstacle. Since there is no obstacle, there should also be no obstacle regarding the king and the queen. To speak of their mind of views, they truly do not believe the king and queen exist; yet regarding themselves, they treasure their own bodies and cherish their own lives. If they were to violate the state's king, their bodies would be shattered and their lives ended. Such foolish emptiness does not empty their own bodies and lives: they cherish their own bodies and lives, and nor do they empty the king. Since they cannot empty themselves or the king, how can they deceive only their parents, disdain the Buddha's teachings, and claim that the four major transgressions and the five heinous sins are all empty? One must know that such a person cannot perceive their own fault of clinging to emptiness. If they cannot perceive what is near at hand, how much less what is far?
