九、念十方佛者，昔親狎惡友，信受其言。今念十方佛、念無礙慈，作不請友；念無礙智，作大導師，翻破順惡友心。

Ninth, mindfully recollecting the Buddhas of the ten directions: formerly one was intimate with evil companions and believed their words. Now one mindfully recollects the Buddhas of the ten directions, mindfully recollects unhindered compassion as an unasked friend, and mindfully recollects unhindered wisdom as the great guide, overturning and shattering the mindset of following evil companions.
